The Best Workout to do at Home

Do you hate going to the gym to workout? I know I do! I would rather workout at home with no one watching me.  If you are like me, then this is the best workout you can do!  The Insanity workout is a great HIIT workout that you can do in your own home.  I have done it and it really does work!

Now, I have to be honest here. I did lose weight and was looking great! Unfortunately, I had a very demanding job that didn’t allow much time after work to put in the time to do it. I’m sure you know what that is like.

What is Insanity?  It is a workout routine that Shaun T created.  It is very hard to do but very rewarding.  This workout works your entire body.  You use your own body weight as your resistance, so you don’t need any equipment to do it.

This program is based on a method called “max interval training.”  The idea is to work as hard as you can for 3 minute intervals and resting for 30 second intervals.  Please keep in mind that high intensity interval training (HIIT) is focused on max intervals at 30 seconds and 3 minutes low intensity interval training.

Both types of training can make you burn calories but it just depends on what you can handle.  The Insanity workout is very challenging at first but it is definitely worth it.  I found it easier when I went up stairs and other things that were cardio related.

Actually, I felt better. It was like breathing new life into me again.  I think the Insanity program will work great for you if you can handle the intensity of it. I do recommend that you see your doctor to make sure you are healthy enough to do this program.

  • I love HIT it’s so fun. well maybe fun isn’t the right word. It isn’t fun while doing it, but after you do it you feel a million times better. I did some kick boxing and it was 15 min of high intense work out and it’s hard, but then it’s refreshing.

  • My doctor is trying to get me to exercise regularly and told me to try Insanity. Maybe I’ll take the dive! I’ve always heard it’s an incredible program and workout.

  • I have lost 20 pounds doing HIIT and Circuit workouts since December of 2016. I have been interested in Shaun T’s workout; maybe I will give it a try!
